In a small island community, a troubled young woman falls for a mysterious outsider who empowers her to break the bonds with her oppressive family. When he comes under suspicion for a series of brutal murders, she defends him at all costs and learns what she is capable of. A brave film that creates a complex relationship between the character and the audience, a dark and dramatic fairytale for grown-ups.

Michael Pearce

Born in Jersey, based in London, Michael Pearce studied Film Directing at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and the National Film & Television School where his graduation film, Madrugada, won Best Short at The Royal Television Society Awards. His next short film, RITE, was nominated at the 2011 BAFTAs and BIFAs, screened at 40 international film festivals, In 2011 Michael was selected as one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow.
