Chicago 10

  #memory   #society

At the 1968 Democratic Convention, anti-war protestors repeatedly clashed with the Chicago police. The riots were witnessed by an audience of over 50 million people, plunging the country into polarization. In need of a scapegoat, the government dragged eight (along with their two defendants, they make up the famous “Chicago Ten”) of the most vocal activists into a mockery of a trial. Eschewing talking-head interviews and omniscient narration, this vibrant blend of animation and extraordinary archival footage, takes us to the core of the dramatic events. A pulsating documentary that unfolds a story of resistance in the face of oppression.
