22nd TDF: Greek Premiere

A scarcely populated and remote village in Georgia, sinking in poverty and misery, takes center stage: hundreds of Chinese workers settle in the area, as part of a large-scale railway construction project. Sooner rather than later, the language and culture barriers between locals and newcomers instigate misunderstandings, raise tensions and feed rumors that circulate faster than high-speed trains. As the deadline clock is ticking, frustration, landslides, poor safety measures, unbearable working conditions, as well as the overall ambiguous nature of this project, make up a recipe for disaster. Suddenly, this black hole in the mountain seems to be leading nowhere.
