Over There

Payman is a young man who has only ten days left in order to return to the US to renew his green card but he can’t exit the country because of marital problems with his wife Leila. Leila wants her marriage portion which is 500 gold coins. Payman has to pay the equivalent of this in order to be able to leave the country. They are both waiting for the golden happy days not realizing that the days they’re living are in fact the golden happy days.

Abdolreza Kahani

He was born in Neishabour in 1973 and began his career at a young age as an actor, writer and stage director. He holds a BA in Theater Acting and an MA in Theater Direction. His script for "Travel to the East" won the award for Best Screenplay for a Children's Film at the Farabi Cinema Foundation in 1997. His documentary "Travelers of Need" won numerous awards in Iran. "Empty Hands" and "Adam" screened abroad and brought him international acclaim. "Over There" is his second feature film.
