An invaluable recording of the life of the great Greek soprano, but also a testimony of our cultural legacy, produced by the Greek National Opera, and carried out thanks to the support of DEI. The documentary, directed by Michalis Asthenidis and Vassilis Louras, attempts to shed light on the personal and artistic coming-of-age of Callas, in WWII Athens., from 1937 to 1945, as well as after 1957, when the world-famous diva reconnected with Greece. The screening will be prefaced by Yorgos Koumentakis (Greek National Opera Artistic Director), Sofia Dimtsa (Group Chief Corporate Affairs & Communication Officer of PPC Group), Alexandros Kampouroglou (Global Programs Directos at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation), and Orestis Andreadakis (Artistic Director of the Festival), while a Q&A will follow with the directors of the film, Michalis Asthenidis and Vassilis Louras.
