Walden

Walden

21st TDF: Greek Premiere

Gentle birdsong filters in through the dense forest vegetation only to be drowned out by the sudden roar of chainsaws. Comprised of 13 stunning 360° panning shots, this enchanting documentary records a peculiar journey: felled trees from Austrian forests are transported to the Amazonian jungle, in a course reversed as to the one expected. A gentle ironic reference to the renowned work of Henry David Thoreau, which highlights man’s endless battle against nature.
