In 2001, Fahed (the director’s cousin) lands in England with his head full of dreams. After nearly two decades of immigrant life, his marriage is running out of steam, and his grim routine consists of hard and precarious work: Fahed finds himself idealizing his homeland, Algeria. A personal odyssey, rich in sentimental nuances and intangible details, that builds up to a silent cry of an antihero cut adrift and striving to stay afloat. Caught in an eternal limbo and torn between his desire to fit in and his fervent nostalgia, Fahed is imprisoned in a grey zone of dilemmas and doubts.
