The Bus Stop

Beket

At a bus stop, in an undefined place, four unrelated characters are waiting for a bus that will never come. “It’s the journey that matters, not the destination,” as we all know, and the directorial duo from Kyrgyzstan has come up with an entertaining version of the famous cliché, where the expectation of the journey might prove even more important than the journey itself. An almost still camera transforms the characters into anonymous silhouettes, likening them to microorganisms and commenting on their behaviors with a subtle and scathing humor.
