We Are Hellenes, Georgius Gemistus Pletho

The film is about the life and works of Georgius Gemistus Pletho, the great byzantine philosopher, who lived during the late Byzantine era. He strongly defended the idea of the continuation of Hellenism, “We Are Hellenes by race and culture”, dedicating his teaching to serve that purpose. The camera follows his steps and focuses on the unknown aspects of his life and on his political attitude towards the historical and national questions of the Byzantine Empire.
