Developed by Jews who were expelled from Spain and found refuge in other European countries, Ladino is a language that was widely used until the establishment of the state of Israel. This recently restored monumental film records for the first time on camera Ladino speakers and glimpses from their culture, their memories, and their hopes for the future of their mother tongue. A unique film about the bond between language and identity.
