On September 27, 2005, Michaëlle Jean wrote history when she became the first woman and black citizen to occupy Canada’s greatest office, as a Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada. A thoughtful portrait of a dedicated journalist who devoted her mandate to youth, women, indigenous people and culture, promoting social change and international diplomacy.
