Summer Rain

Malaga, late seventies. Four friends who have just graduated from high school discover, in the course of a magical but also terrible summer, not only love, but treason, infidelity, half truths and all that is unfathomable and horrendous in the world of adults. Miguelito, who hopes to become a poet, sees his dreams vanish when he loses the one he thinks is the love of his life, the beautiful and capricious Luli; Babirusa finds out his mother’s shameful secret which opens his eyes to a horrifying truth; and Paco watches his family’s fortune melt away and at the same time discovers his father’s true character. In the background, fate weaves its slow and inevitable web.

Antonio Banderas

Jose Antonio Dom£nguez Banderas, in arte Antonio Banderas (Malaga, 1960), studied Dramatic Arts in M΅laga before moving to Madrid in 1981. His chance encounter with Pedro Almod½var launched his fame beyond Spanish borders with films such as Law of Desire (1986),Women on Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988) and Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1989). In Hollywood he has acted in a variety of film genres: Interview with the Vampire by N. Jordan, Desperado by R. Rodr£guez, Evita by A. Parker and the two Zorro adventure films.
