Well Kept Secrets - Athanassia

Angela, a young American woman, returns to her Greek roots in search of her real father, shattering the very myths designed to protect her. She uncovers an unlikely relationship between those who raised her: a globetrotting photojournalist drawn to a Greek island girl exiled by her community. Angela meets her father and discovers the story of her mother, Athanassia; the strange paths of love she walked.

Panos Karkanevatos

He was born in Serres in 1962. He studied Cinema in Athens and Europe and is an EAVE 1991 graduate. He founded Vergi Film Productions in 1993. He has produced and directed feature films and creative documentaries which he co-produced with European and US producers and broadcasters, (ZDF, Channel 4, ARTE, RTBF, NPS, Canal+). His films have been distributed in Europe and the US.
