I Hate New York

I Hate New York

21st TDF: Greek Premiere

Influenced by the Dogma movement and with the use of a handheld videocamera that travels effortlessly, the director follows over the course of a decade (2007-2017) four transgender women, artists and activists from the underground scene of New York City. Little by little, their testimonies reveal fragments of a past, fascinating and extraordinary although sometimes traumatic. A vibrant documentary that takes us to the core of the fierce struggle for gender self-determination.
