Faat Kine

Faat Kine manages a sparkling gas station, drives an elegant car, lunches with smartly dressed friends, supports her “regal” mother as well as her son and daughter, who wish to study in Europe. Her success was not easily gained: she was forced to abandon her dream of becoming a lawyer when she was expelled from school because she had gotten pregnant by a charismatic professor. Later, the father of her second illegitimate child left her, taking all her life savings and landing himself in prison for fraud. Her children want to see her happily married to a good husband. At their graduation party both fathers appear claiming the paternal rights they had long ago forsaken. But Djip, Kine’s son, confronts them and sends them away. Now Kine has the opportunity to start a relationship with the man her children approve of.
