The First Supper – The Journey of Food: Eating in Greece from Prehistory to Modern Times

The First Supper is the first episode of a five-part series about the history of food in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. From the Ice Age to the Minoan and Mycenaean palaces, the documentary explores how food has shaped human society and civilization, blending re-enactments, stunning location photography and interviews with leading international historians.

Lefteris Haritos

Lefteris Charitos studied Film at Royal College of Arts in London. He has directed several fiction and non-fiction series for Greek television, including the highly acclaimed history documentary series 1821 and Τhe Story of Food. Dolphin Man is his first feature length documentary.
