“Waldheim no!”: This was the cry that united the crowd that gathered in the center of Vienna in 1986, to protest about the election of Kurt Waldheim as President of Austria. Director Ruth Beckermann was found among this crowd; after all these years, she decided to go through private and public archives, in order to deliver the portrait of the former UN Secretary-General with the dark Nazi past, and analyse the features of anti-Semitic propaganda in a chilling documentation of an era that is not-so-long gone.
