Anthropocene

More and more scientists hold that the Holocene epoch is now over and that a new geological epoch, named “Anthropocene,” has risen: since the mid-20th century, human activity has been rapidly unbalancing the planet putting its future at stake, in a way that may prove irreversible. The ten films included in this special tribute take a daring look at this crucial change, placing it in an ecological, philosophical, cultural and political context. How does this rising, man-made environment look like? Is there a way out of this dystopia? Ten brave documentaries contribute to the debate.
