KΕ•HA•’JAS – Man of the Land

Kε•ha•’jas – Man of the Land is an ethnographic documentary filmed on Lemnos, the most low-lying of the Aegean islands. The Lemnian farmer and shepherd, the Kε•ha•’jas – according to the oral tradition of his birthplace – was a momentous and turbulent concept, largely misunderstood. The documentary, through the narrative word of the Kε•ha•’jades and their lived experience, bridges the gap in official memory and local history concerning the existence of the group itself.
