Makis is a fish farm worker. Οne morning οn his way to work, he is informed that he died the day before. After failed attempts to prove that he is alive, he accepts his fate with indifference and spends his last day trying to secure the survival of his beloved canaries, until the time of his funeral. Vasilis Kekatos

Vasilis Kekatos (1991) is a director whose films have screened at Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, Locarno, and Telluride. In 2019, he won the Short Film Palme d’Or and Queer Palm at Cannes for his film The Distance Between Us and the Sky. In 2023, he created the series Milky Way, which premiered in competition at Series Mania.
