Khadija is a cleaning lady of Arab descent in her late fifties, living in Brussels. One night, she dozes off in the subway while returning home and wakes up at the terminus, at “the other end of the city.” She has no choice but to start walking, into the unknown, into the night. On her way through the chilly city, Khadija encounters a number of people of different means, ethnicities, and backgrounds, in a tale of openness, lack of fear and hope for the future. Once more, it’s the journey that counts, not the destination.
