Giraffe

Giraffe

60th TIFF: Greek Premiere

Α tunnel about to be built, linking Danish island of Lolland with Germany, will drastically change the landscape of a rural community. Dara is an ethnologist who returns home to chronicle a vanishing way of life. Lucek is a young Pole worker, who arrived in Scandinavia full of dreams, but quickly became disillusioned. Käthe is working on the ferry, constantly projecting imaginary lives onto the fleeting passengers. A ruminative film that explores the insoluble bonds crafted between people and places, acknowledging the unimaginable wealth hidden behind every human story.
