Self-exiled for months in a small Alsatian village ever since a painful breakup, Frank recounts his day-to-day addiction to solitude. His only comfort is cinema, as every night he submerges into a parallel universe that serves as aesthetics bastions against the hideousness of the world. Gradually, his sanctuary becomes a cage, as films no longer act as windows of escape but transform into mirrors of complacent self-flagellation. A cathartic diary of a tortured artist laid bare, in the form of a fulgurous collage consisting of a fulgurous collage made up of hundreds of film snippets.
