You Will Die at Twenty

During a baptism ceremony of newborn Mozamil, a servant of the local sheikh faints at a critical moment of the ritual and a prophecy is set: the child will die at the age of twenty. Feeling cursed, the father decides to self-exile to Ethiopia, while Mozamil goes through a childhood of painful stigmatization. Fast-forward in time and Mozamil, now a Koran expert, is nearing his twenties. His docility facing his fateful destiny will be shaken by his encounter with a village newcomer. A subtle comment on the insurmountable weight of tradition, mixing myth and realism.
