Stars by the Pound

100 Kilos D'Étoiles

60th TIFF: Greek Premiere

Lois is a brilliant 16-year-old girl, who dreams of wearing an astronaut’s suit. Despite having the brains for it, her overweight problem, caused by a malfunctioning metabolism, raises an insurmountable obstacle. Filled up with self-resentment, she embarks on a starving campaign, ending up in treatment center, where she meets three girls fighting their own demons of self-loathing. Together, they set out on an escape journey, discovering friendship and acceptance along the way. A heartfelt look of empathy offering comfort to the pain of shattered dreams, which evolves into a road map leading to peace of mind.
