Jojo Rabbit

Jojo Rabbit

60th TIFF: Greek Premiere

Jojo is a devoted 10-year-old member of the Nazi youth, who daily receives pep talks and advice by an imaginary friend, no other than Adolf Hitler himself! Jojo, by the way, earned his titular nickname when he refused to snap a bunny’s neck, clueing us that he might not be as ruthless as he aspires to look. His adherence to Nazi ideals is further tested as he discovers that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. A bravely conceived and skillfully executed satire, which asserts itself against hatred and ignorance, the cornerstone of every indoctrination.
