Swimming in the Desert

In the drought-stricken town of Agua Dulce, in the California High Desert, a ten-year-old girl challenges her grandfather, a cranky retired firefighter, to follow a crazy plan and bring water back to the dry river. When the universe of a small kid is drained, a drop from the stuff that dreams are made of is enough to get the rainmaking ritual started.
