Shoulder for Hire

The profession of “friend for hire” is available in a futuristic society; a person who can comfort and support people in need. "Shoulder for Hire" describes five days in the life of Betelgeese, a veteran “friend for hire”, as he tries to track down his missing daughter, Celestine, and come to terms with his impending death from a mysterious, fatal epidemic.

Dimitris Emmanouilidis

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1976. He has been working as a screenwriter and director since 1999. Since 2003 he has been the Assistant Coordinator of the MFI Script Workshops of the Mediterranean Film Institute, which is funded by the MEDIA Program of the European Union.
