On one hand, an archetypical rock showman, overtly sensual, energetic on stage, with legions of devoted fans. On the other hand, an introverted and insecure man, consumed by inner battles, rarely revealing his true self. INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence, who committed suicide at the age of 37, at the peak of his career, was a blend of paradoxes and contradictions. A poignant portrait of an enigmatic artist, who walked the tightrope between creative triumphs and personal tragedies. At once, a ruminative contemplation on the self-destructive mix of talent, sensitivity and unbridled fame: a story as old as time.
