Nematoma

60th TIFF: Greek Premiere

Jonas is a dancer way past his prime, who sets up a cunning trick to get back into the game: he pretends to be blind in order to sneak his way into a TV dance show, where fame is in store for him thanks to his supposed disability. His hubris, though, is not to be left unpunished, as nemesis is lurking around the corner, incarnated in the face of Vytas, who has just been released from prison and yearns for revenge. A tale of unredeemed sins and self-inflicted “blindness,” which renders truth and forgiveness out of sight.
