Father’s Acre

The Father is released from prison, resolving to start a new life and try to pass on some form of value system to his son. He buys a plot of land, on which he plans to plant grapevines. The Son, whose formative years have been blighted by the absence of a paternal figure, is suddenly confronted with his flesh-and-blood father, who was formerly deified, but whose current intentions are met with stiff resistance. Everything the Father does or represents is totally rejected by the Son. The situation is aggravated by the presence of the Son’s Aunt Agi, with whom the Father forms a sexual relationship.
