Medea, Jason, and their two children live as refugees in the Greek city of Corinth. When Jason abandons her to marry the king’s daughter, Medea is forced to leave the country, on penalty of death.

Dimitri Athanitis

Dimitri Athanitis is a member of the European Film Academy, and a founding member and the first secretary of the Hellenic Film Academy. His latest film Invisible (2016) received 16 awards at more than 40 festivals, it was played for 17 weeks in Athenian theaters, and was also screened in 35 venues around Greece. Medea is his tenth feature.
