Ana turns 30 on New Year’s Day with life still to be resolved: she lives in a shared apartment, she doesn’t like her work, she lives between new friendships… Óscar turns 30 on New Year’s Eve with life almost resolved: vocational doctor, faithful friends, mortgage, and a relationship that comes and goes. But the night the two of them turn 30, they meet, fall in love, and begin a relationship whose coming and going will last ten years.

Rodrigo Sorogoyen

Rodrigo Sorogoyen del Amo (1981) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He won the Goya Award for Best Director and the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for The Realm. For the short film Mother, Sorogoyen won the Goya Award for Best Fictional Short Film and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.

Sandra Romero

Sandra Romero (Écija, Spain, 1993) studied journalism in Seville and filmmaking at the ECAM. She has directed the short films A Room of One's Own (2018), which premiered at the Seville Film Festival, El perro de un torero (2022), and Where the Silence Passes (2020), winner of the Silver Biznaga for Best Short Film at the Málaga Film Festival. Where the Silence Passes laid the groundwork for her debut feature, As Silence Passes By, which was developed through Berlinale Talents Script Station, Spanish Film Academy Residencies, and CIMA Impulsa. The feature premiered in the New Directors section of the 2024 San Sebastián International Film Festival and has since earned multiple accolades: six Asecan Award nominations, the Special Jury Award and Best Actor at the Almería Film Festival, and the LesGaiCineMad Best Film Jury Award. She has also directed three episodes of the series The New Years (2024), created and co-directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, which premiered out of competition at the Venice International Film Festival.

David Martín de los Santos

David Martín de los Santos has recently directed three episodes in the Movistar Plus+ series, Los años nuevos (The New Years), premiered at the Venice Film Festival. He is currently preparing his next fiction feature, Un hombre en un puente, to be shot in 2025. Previously, he wrote and directed the feature film That Was Life (2020), recognized with two nominations at the Goya Awards and several awards at the Feroz, CEC Awards, Academia de Andalucía and various international festivals. He has also written and directed the documentaries ¿Generación perdida? (2011) and Ni vivos ni muertos (2010), for the TVE program Documentos TV, as well as La isla durmiente (2005). His short films 23 de mayo (2016), Mañana no es otro día (2015), En el hoyo (2006) and Take Me Somewhere Else (2004) add up to more than a hundred awards at national and international festivals.
