Special screening: The Golem (or The Golem: How He Came into the World)

One of the first glorious works bearing the signature of the legendary UFA studios and paving the way for the masterpieces of German expressionism, the film draws its inspiration from one of the oldest myths found in the Jewish folklore to discuss the dangers of antisemitism. This special screening is part of the tribute “Adio Kerida: From Thessaloniki to Auschwitz – 80 Years” with which the 25th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival honors the memory of the Jewish community of the city, which was exterminated during World War II.
