The beloved E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial by Steven Spielberg in an open-air screening at the Port of Thessaloniki

Pier A, Port // Thursday, July 10 – 21:30

Under the Full Moon, we ride our bikes to the moon and become children again at the open-air screening of the masterpiece E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) by Steven Spielberg. The Thessaloniki Film Festival is organizing the screening on Thursday, July 10 at 21:30 at Pier A, in the Port of Thessaloniki. Beneath the night sky, the port transforms into a magical open-air cinema, offering the audience a unique opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable film, accompanied by a refreshing Fischer beer. The screening is held with the support of the Thessaloniki Port Authority.

In the film, E.T., a visitor from space, finds himself completely alone on Earth — a strange, incomprehensible planet to him. Soon, however, he will find a precious friend who will help him survive. 10-year-old Elliott and E.T. grow closer with each passing day and try to avoid the U.S. secret services, who are constantly searching for the little alien. At the same time, they embark on an effort to help E.T. contact his family and, eventually, return home.

E.T., is one of the most influential, timeless, and beloved films ever seen on the big screen. A truly irresistible story about the acceptance of differences, the painful yet necessary journey of growing up, the redemptive power of imagination, the cosmic force of friendship, and the process of finding refuge in daydreaming.
