“Films are about the mystery of fate or the mystery of faith” according to William Friedkin, whose legendary magnum opus The Exorcist obviously falls into the second category. A confessional journey into the mind of a cinema master, whose volatility and energy inundate the screen as he shares generously his most inner thoughts and divulges a series of quirks and complications that added up to his masterpiece’s legacy. A punkish documentary that gives carte blanche to a gifted storyteller to playfully enhance the lurid myth of a film that has triggered off vertiginous leaps of faith for almost half a century now.
