Caisa

A touching story about a teenage Roma boxer and a veteran boxing coach that serves as an allegory for the social pathologies in contemporary Romania. The documentary follows unobtrusively the two characters, both outcasts, as empathy, mutual trust and perseverance bond them in a strong relationship. One is a pariah, as member of the Roma community, in every aspect of his life. The other, an enemy of the Romanian boxing federation, is a pariah in the boxing world. Both of them are facing nepotism, injustice, discrimination; both of them are struggling to push through an invisible, yet impenetrable, barrier.
