Christos Nikoleris

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1966. He studied Foto-Film Design at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld in Germany from which he graduated in 1993. Between 1981-1997 he worked as a photographer and photo lab technician in the family business. From 1995 to the present he has been working for the audiovisual production company N-Orasis (of which he is a founding member) as a director and film editor, having shot over 150 commercials and music videos, which have received numerous awards and distinctions. In 1992 he participated in the Videofest Video Art Festival in Salzgitter, Germany, and then in 1995 he took part in the video category of the Biennale of Young Mediterranean Artists in Lisbon. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and internationally. This year he is directing the TV series Agria Pedia for Mega Channel. His first short film, Tempest, was produced in 2003 and screened at the Short Film Festival in Drama. This was followed by Protection, in 2005. In 2006 he completed his award-winning short film Mines. Since 2006 he has been teaching at the Film School of Thessaloniki’s Aristotle University.
