Rain

Anna Karamani, an insurance agent, is waiting for her daughter to return from her vacation and her son to come home from a business trip. On the day they are expected back, she receives a phone call from a police station in Northern Greece.

Syllas Tzoumerkas

He was born in 1978 in Thessaloniki and belongs to the new generation of Greek directors. He studied Film Direction, Theater and Acting in Athens (University of Athens, Stavrakos Film School), Utrecht (Instituut Media en Re/presentatie, 1999-2000) and NewYork (the Stella Adler Studio, 2006). He directed the awarded short films The Devouring Eyes (Official Selection - Cinefondation - Cannes IFF 2001, Jury Prize - Karlovy Vary FF 2001) and Rain (Best Greek Short Filmof the Year - Greek FilmAwards 2002). For three years heworked as a director for the prime-time news showFakeloi (Mega Channel 2004-2006, thrice a Best News Showof the Yearwinner). His work credits include direction and video art for stage performances in Athens, script writing for short films and TV films, research and direction for the TV documentary Ezra Pound – I Wanted to Write Paradise (ERT, 2004), as well as the translation into Greek of Stella Adler’s The Art of Acting. In 2003, he was selected to participate at the 1st Talent Campus of the Berlinale.
