Quiet Bliss

Four women take refuge in the countryside following the shutdown of their small family-run business, overwhelmed by the general economic recession. Working the land and trading products – against all expectations – is the chance for a new beginning, the possibility of a new life. An ecological, zero impact film. A little story about happiness. The film is entirely filmed in the Finibus Terrae locations – Giuliano di Lecce, Corsano, Tricase and other localities in Salento – and acted by non-professional actors.

Edoardo Winspeare

Born in 1965, he has been working in film since 1987, first as a student at Munich’s Hochschule fur Film und Fernsehen, from where he received a degree with top honors, and then as a director of feature films, documentaries, short films, music videos, and commercials. In 1995, he directed Pizzicata, which screened at the Berlin Film Festival and was a great success abroad, especially in France and the USA, but also in the other 26 countries where it was distributed. He lives with his family in a small town near Santa Maria di Leuca, in Salento, Apulia.
