Winter Sleep

Aydin, a former actor, runs a small hotel in central Anatolia with his young wife Nihal, with whom he has a stormy relationship, and his sister Necla, who is suffering after her recent divorce. In winter, as the snow begins to fall, the hotel turns into a shelter but also an inescapable place that fuels their animosities...

Nuri Bilge Ceylan

He was born in Istanbul in 1959, but grew up in the country. He studied Filmmaking at Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul. Small Town screened at festivals around the world and won numerous awards. Distant won many national and international awards, including the Grand Jury Prize and the Best Actor Award at the Cannes IFF 2002. Climates, won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes IFF 2006, while Three Monkeys won the award for Best Director at the Cannes IFF 2008 and Once Upon a Time in Anatolia won the Special Jury Award at the Cannes IFF 2011.
