Horsepower

Over the winter, Mihai keeps his motorcycle in his 10th floor apartment. With the help of his friends, he carries it upstairs in the autumn and downstairs in the spring. He has been doing this every year since he was young, but this year Mihai finds out how fragile friendships can be just when he needs them most.

Daniel Sandu

Born in 1977, he graduated from Bucharest’s MEDIA University Film School. He is screenwriter and director of short films, feature films and TV series. In 2011 he wrote, directed and produced the short film The Counting Device, which was selected at the official competitions of the Sarajevo, Cambridge, Montpellier and Leuven IFFs, and won the Jury award at the Leiden ISF. In 2012 he directed the short film Second Voice, which won the Special Prize at the Anonimul IFF 2013. His television experience includes numerous highly rated TV series which he wrote, cowrote and directed.
