Cinema, Manoel de Oliveira and Me

Manoel de Oliveira lived for over a century – the century of cinema. Another Portuguese director delivers the ultimate present to a beloved friend, by following the thread that the late fi lmmaker lost somewhere in the labyrinth of creation. Having an old photograph that was taken 36 years ago as his starting point and rewriting a story that was left behind by the maestro with the longest career in cinema, Botelho metaphysically converses with his master, thus leading us through his method and his extraordinary cinematographic inventions.
