Somewhere in Queens, New York, in an industrial zone fated for demolition and ripe for urban development, we discover a strange community who lives from a thriving commerce of recycling wrecks from the scrapyards. Joe, the last resident, rages and rallies through the street like a lost King Lear, trying to contest his imminent eviction. Two lovers struggle for food and safety through the winter. Τhe homeless queen of the junkyard exalts in her beatific visions. Α film that captures the spectres of the disappearing urban ecology.
