Craig Schwartz, a charismatic puppeteer, is trying to get by but it seems that nobody in New York is interested in his art. His ten-year-old marriage with Lotte, a workaholic pet shop employee – who works overtime – is a dead end. No money, no passion and no way out; Craig is having the worst time of his life.

Spike Jonze

Spike Jonze is the versatile filmmaker behind the acclaimed films Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, and Where the Wild Things Are. As a producer, his credits include Michel Gondry’s Human Nature and Charlie Kaufman’s Synecdoche, New York. In 2013, he directed and produced Her, an original love story, starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde, and Scarlett Johansson. He has directed numerous music videos, commercials, short films, and documentaries. He also serves as the creative director at VICE Media, and is one of the creators and producers of the Jackass TV show and films.
