JC Chάvez

JC Chάvez is a documentary that tells the story of a Mexican boxer who has gone from being a struggling car washer, to the height of success, to the ignominy of defeat and failure. Not only does it narrate the achievements of a champion, but it also allows us to understand the human and social aspects of the life of one of the most important personalities of recent Mexican history. Presenting interviews with leading figures of the boxing industry, journalism, sports and politics, as well as an intimate portrayal of Chάvez in his everyday life and the relationship with his son, this film leaves room for personal conclusions; it is an excercise that attempts to understand the complex link between fame and politics.
