Eduardo Williams, born in 1987, in Argentina, studied cinema in his country, before joining the renowned Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains in France. Williams’ shorts films quickly gained worldwide popularity and dozens of festivals around the globe hosted retrospectives covering the entire spectrum of his filmography. His transition to feature films was crowned with success, as his debut, entitled The Human Surge (2016), won the Filmmakers of the Present prize at the 69th Locarno Film Festival. Williams’ cinema boldly crosses all types of borders – psychological, social and spiritual – and becomes a carrier of an internal truth that exceeds the limits set by our tangible sense of reality.
