Music, Tranquility of the Soul

We travel with the “Zeppos” to the island of Naxos. At the village of Apiranthos we meet musicians who offer us unforgettable moments. There’s Andonis Anamateros on the bagpipe-like tsabuna and Florios Kritikos on the tubaki drum. The journey continues to Schinoussa, an island famous for its wild revelry. There we meet Nikitas Nomikos, a great octopus catcher and fiddler. It’s a magical journey featuring authentic maritime musicians.

Yorgos Kolozis

He was born in Athens in 1953. He studied economics, photography and film directing. From early on in his career he supported the idea of independent filmmaking and turned to the documentary. In 1985 he founded the production company Photokinisis Ltd. and focused on producing and directing documentaries for the Greek and international market. His films have received awards at numerous international film festivals, including Okomedia, Ecofilms, Mountain Film Festival, International Travel Film Festival, Festival International du Film Νature, International Documentary Festival of Ukraine, Golden Knight FF Russia, et al. He died suddenly in September 2009.
