The War Show

The radio host Obaidah Zytoon was playing forbidden music on the radio when the uprising broke out in 2011. Together with a group of artists and activist friends, they began filming their lives and the events around them. But as the regime’s violent response spirals the country into a bloody civil war, their hopes for a better future are tested. Obaidah leaves Damascus and journeys around the country to the center of the rebellion in Homs and to northern Syria, where she witnesses the rise of extremism.
