Dolls

A dynamic road-movie featuring three 18-year-old girls on their last holiday after high-school graduation. Iska, Karolina and Vendula don΄t want to give up their carefree student lives or their friendship.They plan to hitchhike to Holland, where they’ve arranged to work on a farm for three months. But Vojta, Iska’s little brother, joins the trio against their will. He becomes a witness as well as a catalyst for the break-up of their friendship – for the girls recognize that time cannot be stopped. Dolls is a story about searching for love and finding oneself in the volatile time of late adolescence.

Karin Babinska

She graduated from Prague’s Film Academy FAMU (1993-1999) in Film and Television Directing. She made several short films during her studies, of which Jacob and Veronica won several awards at international film festivals. In her fifth year she directed three stories for the series Bakalari for Czech Television. She has been making TV spots. Dolls is her feature film debut.
